The 640x512 thermal sensor reads temperature differentials that indicate leak signatures, hot spots on equipment, and surface anomalies invisible to standard visual inspection. The 48MP camera with 200x zoom lets pilots inspect joints, welds, valves, and surface conditions from safe altitude without proximity to live product lines.

Why Eight Batteries

The TB30 system on the M30T requires two batteries per flight. Eight batteries gives you four flight pairs with hot-swap rotation. While one pair is in the air, the BS30 charges the others.

For linear infrastructure inspection where the operator is moving along a corridor (pipeline, transmission line, rail right-of-way), continuous flight time without charge-cycle waiting is the difference between covering 5 miles in a day and covering 30. The 8-battery configuration is built for full-day inspection runs.

This is an unused DJI Matrice 30T with zero flight hours. We activate each unit prior to shipment to verify proper function and regional compatibility. It has never been flown.

Please note: Because we complete a universal, region-free activation, this unit is not eligible for DJI Enterprise Care or DJI's U.S.-based manufacturer warranty. DJI can still service and repair these units through their paid repair program if needed.

If your drone arrives with a defect, contact us within 72 hours of delivery and we'll coordinate a replacement or repair at no cost to you under our DOA policy.

CPS Drone Protection Plan (Available at Checkout)

We offer the CPS Accidental Drone Protection Plan as an optional add-on at checkout. CPS covers commercial Part 107 operations, including pipeline inspection and industrial use. Coverage includes:

Is the DJI Matrice 30T still being made?

How does the M30T detect pipeline leaks?

The 640x512 thermal camera detects temperature differentials. Escaping product (liquid or gas) typically creates a temperature signature different from the surrounding pipeline and ground. For liquid leaks, evaporative cooling creates a cold signature. For pressurized gas releases, Joule-Thomson cooling or warming creates a distinct thermal pattern depending on the product. The drone identifies these anomalies during overflight, and ground crews investigate flagged areas. This is not a replacement for in-line inspection tools or cathodic protection surveys, but a complementary surveillance method for right-of-way and surface inspection.

Can the M30T fly in rain or wind common to pipeline corridors?

Yes. The M30T carries an IP55 weather rating and operates in rain, dust, and adverse weather. Wind resistance is rated to 15 m/s (33.5 mph). For year-round inspection programs across exposed pipeline corridors, this weather rating is one of the M30T's key operational advantages.

What pipeline regulations apply to drone inspections?

Federal pipeline inspection requirements are administered by PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration) under 49 CFR Parts 192 (gas) and 195 (liquid). Drone-based aerial surveillance can supplement or partially replace traditional patrol methods under certain conditions, but specific use cases need to be confirmed with your integrity management program and PHMSA guidance. State-level regulations may also apply. We don't provide regulatory compliance guidance, but the M30T platform is widely used in PHMSA-compliant inspection programs across the industry.

Is the M30T eligible for DJI Enterprise Care?

No. Because we activate each unit prior to shipment with a universal region-free activation, this unit is not eligible for DJI Enterprise Care or DJI's U.S.-based manufacturer warranty. DJI can still service these units through their paid repair program. Can we mount additional payloads like LiDAR or methane sensors?

The M30T has limited third-party payload support compared to the M300/M350 series. The integrated thermal/zoom/wide camera array is fixed. For operators requiring methane detection sensors or LiDAR payloads on a versatile platform, the M350 RTK with Zenmuse H30T or specialized payloads is typically the right call.
