This product is delivered as a unused, never refurbished aircraft.
Many of the DJI Enterprise products we sell are activated prior to shipment using a universal region-free activation process. This allows customers access to genuine DJI hardware without regional restrictions.
Because the aircraft is activated prior to resale, it is not eligible for DJI Enterprise Care or DJI's U.S. manufacturer warranty programs.
DJI can still service these aircraft through their paid repair program.

Note on the M30T platform: The Matrice 30T has been discontinued by DJI. The TB30 battery is still being produced for the existing M30T fleet in service. For new programs and operators considering long-term platform investment, the M4TD platform uses the newer TB100 battery system, not the TB30.

What This Battery Does
The TB30 is the flight battery for the M30 series. Unlike single-battery aircraft like the M4 series, the M30T flies on a battery pair — two TB30s working together to power a single flight. You buy them in pairs for that reason.
For the standard M30T mission profile, operators run 2 batteries (one pair) for a single flight, 4 batteries (two pairs) for hot-swap rotation, 6 batteries for sustained operations, or 8 batteries for full-night recovery operations and extended SAR/agency missions.
Hot-Swap Operations
The TB30 supports hot-swapping — you can change the battery pair on the M30T without fully powering down the aircraft (provided you do the swap quickly per DJI's guidance). For mission-critical operations where downtime between flights is the bottleneck, this is what keeps the drone in the air.
Cold Weather Performance
The TB30 has built-in self-heating. When ambient temperature drops below 10°C (50°F), the self-heating function automatically activates to maintain optimal battery performance. This is what lets M30T operators fly in winter conditions where non-heated batteries would fail to deliver rated capacity.
Charging at low temperatures (below 10°C / 50°F) will work but may shorten battery lifespan over time. Where possible, charge batteries indoors at room temperature.
Battery Health Management
To maximize TB30 lifespan, DJI recommends avoiding charge levels of 90% or higher for more than 120 days combined within a year. For batteries going into extended storage, the BS30 charging station's storage mode automatically maintains the recommended storage voltage.
Battery status, cycle count, and health monitoring are available through the DJI Pilot 2 App's Battery Health Management System.

The M30T requires 2 TB30 batteries per flight (a "pair"). For a single mission, you need 2. For continuous rotation, you need 4 (two pairs — one flying, one charging). For extended operations like full-night SAR or wildlife recovery, you need 6 to 8 batteries. Buy in even numbers since they always operate as pairs.
Will the TB30 work on my M4 series drone or M350?

The DJI BS30 Intelligent Battery Charging Station. It's typically included with M30T and M30 kits. The BS30 charges up to 8 TB30 batteries at the same time, plus has additional slots for WB37 controller batteries.
How long do TB30 batteries last?
DJI rates the TB30 for up to 400 full charge cycles within a 12-month period. Real-world cycle life varies with charging habits, storage practices, and temperature exposure. Operators who follow DJI's storage guidelines (avoid sustained 90%+ charge levels, use storage mode when batteries sit unused, charge at room temperature when possible) typically see longer cycle life.
What happens if I fly in cold weather?

As long as DJI continues to support the M30T platform with firmware updates and parts, TB30 batteries remain available. We're not seeing supply issues currently. For long-term platform investment, however, the M4TD with its TB100 battery system is the current-generation platform we recommend.
