Delivery and Shipping

Most orders are delivered within 5 to 7 business days.

Products may ship from our Florida facility, a domestic distribution warehouse, or a manufacturer-authorized fulfillment location depending on inventory availability.

Regardless of fulfillment location, all orders are inspected, verified, and supported by our team.

Many products ship in multiple packages. Batteries, accessories, and aircraft may arrive separately.

Tracking information is automatically provided as soon as shipment information becomes available.

If your order contains a special-order item, software license, or activation service, additional processing time may apply. If so, we will notify you.

Warranty & Activation Information

This product is delivered as a unused, never refurbished aircraft.

Many of the DJI Enterprise products we sell are activated prior to shipment using a universal region-free activation process. This allows customers access to genuine DJI hardware without regional restrictions.

Because the aircraft is activated prior to resale, it is not eligible for DJI Enterprise Care or DJI's U.S. manufacturer warranty programs.

DJI can still service these aircraft through their paid repair program.

For customers seeking accident, water, crash, and hardware protection, optional CPS Protection is available at checkout.

If you have questions about activation status or warranty eligibility before purchasing, please contact us and we will explain exactly how the aircraft is supplied.

CPS Protection Plan Coverage

Protect your investment with optional CPS Drone Protection available at checkout.

CPS coverage can provide protection against accidental damage, crash damage, water damage, electrical failures, and other covered incidents depending on the selected plan.

Coverage is administered directly through CPS and is separate from DJI manufacturer coverage.

We strongly recommend protection coverage for public safety, commercial, wildlife recovery, and field operations where equipment is regularly exposed to demanding environments.

Coverage terms, limits, deductibles, and claim procedures are determined by CPS and will be provided during enrollment.

Description

The CZI FT30-P is a dual-hook payload drop system for the DJI Matrice 30 series. Integrates directly with DJI Pilot 2 through the aircraft's payload interface, dual-channel high-performance servo motors for independent left/right hook release, and quick-release mounting that fits the M30T without modifying the airframe.

Important note on the M30T platform: The DJI Matrice 30T is discontinued by DJI. The FT30-P remains in stock for existing M30T operators. For new programs requiring payload drop capability, the current-generation M400 platform supports a broader payload mounting system through E-Port V2.

What the FT30-P Does

The FT30-P is a dual-hook drop release mechanism that mounts to the M30T via quick-release. Both hooks operate independently — you can carry two separate payloads and release them at different points in the same flight, or carry one payload and use the second hook as backup retention.

For SAR teams making two separate supply drops to different subjects, public safety units delivering a primary payload while keeping a secondary in reserve, or operators running training scenarios with multiple drop points per flight. The dual-hook design extends mission efficiency without requiring multiple takeoffs.

Payload Weight Reality Check

The FT30-P's hook mechanism is rated for 10 kg theoretical maximum. Real-world payload weight on the M30T is much lower — CZI recommends no more than 500 grams per side (1 kg total) for stable M30T flight characteristics. The M30T platform isn't a heavy-lift aircraft; its useful payload margin is limited.

For typical SAR drop missions (medical supplies, communication gear, small first-aid kits, light flotation devices), 500g per hook is sufficient. For heavier supply drops, the M300/M350 platforms with the Dropmaster or larger drop systems are the right platforms — or the M400 for current-generation heavy-lift payload delivery.

How the FT30-P Operates

The release mechanism uses a two-state button system on the rear of the unit, one per hook:

  • Horizontal position: Hook is open and prepared for loading the payload
  • Vertical position: Hook is closed and primed for in-flight release

Loading sequence:

  1. Verify both hooks are in horizontal (open) position
  2. Attach payload to the hook(s)
  3. Rotate button(s) to vertical to prime for in-flight release
  4. Unlock the drop system on the RC Plus controller
  5. Click the appropriate side icon in DJI Pilot 2 to release

In DJI Pilot 2, the left-side hook is indicated by a parachute icon with a single dot below, and the right-side hook by a parachute icon with double dots below.

Common Mission Profiles

  • Search and rescue: Drop medical supplies, communication gear, water bottles, first-aid kits to located subjects
  • Wildfire response: Deliver gear to ground crews in inaccessible terrain
  • Disaster response: Drop supplies to isolated areas after flooding or storm damage
  • Wilderness rescue: Supply delivery to hikers, climbers, hunters in difficult terrain
  • Tactical operations: Two-hook configuration for primary + backup payload delivery
  • Training: Multiple drop points per flight for SAR training scenarios

Operational and Regulatory Considerations

  • Payload weight reduces flight time. Plan for shorter mission duration with payload mounted versus payload-free flight.
  • FAA Part 107 applies. Payload drops from drones are regulated under 14 CFR Part 107.36 (hazardous materials) and Part 107.23 (hazardous operations). Specific waivers or authorizations may be required.
  • State and local regulations may apply. Aerial delivery operations face additional restrictions in some jurisdictions.
  • Liability considerations. Drop zones should have appropriate safety buffers from people, vehicles, and property.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much weight can the M30T actually carry with the FT30-P?

The hook mechanism is rated for 10 kg theoretical maximum, but the M30T airframe is not a heavy-lift platform. CZI recommends no more than 500g per side (1 kg total) for stable flight on the M30T. For larger supply drops, the M300/M350 RTK or M400 platforms are the right airframes.

Can I drop both payloads at the same time?

Yes, but the release is sequential rather than simultaneous — the left hook releases when you click the left-side icon in Pilot 2, and the right releases when you click the right-side icon. The two payloads can be dropped at the same location in quick succession, or at different points along the flight path.

What's the difference between the FT30-P and the Dropmaster?

The FT30-P is built for the M30T platform with native DJI Pilot 2 integration. The Dropmaster is built for the M300 RTK with independent (non-DJI) control. Each is platform-specific — pick based on which aircraft you're operating and whether you want DJI-integrated control or an independent release path.

Will the FT30-P work on my M350 or M400?

No. The FT30-P is built specifically for the M30 series. For M350 RTK, look at the Dropmaster or CZI TH4 V2. For M400, you need a current-generation drop system designed for the E-Port V2 payload interface.

What FAA regulations apply to drone payload drops?

Aerial delivery operations are regulated under 14 CFR Part 107, including 107.36 (hazardous materials carriage) and 107.23 (hazardous operations). Some commercial delivery operations require additional Part 135 air carrier certification. Operators are responsible for FAA and state/local compliance.

Is the FT30-P covered by warranty?

The FT30-P is covered by CZI's manufacturer warranty for new units. If yours arrives defective, contact us within 72 hours of delivery and we'll coordinate a replacement under our DOA policy. It is not covered by DJI Enterprise Care or CPS Drone Protection plans, which apply to DJI aircraft and integrated sensors only.
